Joe Kotler, Founder and Managing Partner of Horizon Equities, believes that strong relationships, grounded in trust and integrity, are the foundations of success. He began his career in the SFR market, today a 2.5 trillion market that is larger than the office and multi-family markets, by acquiring distressed properties from lenders, rehabilitating, repositioning them, and returning them to market. While building his portfolio he strengthened local communities, earning respect from sellers, brokers, lenders, and local officials, while generating exceptional returns.
He worked closely with the Chairman of Horizon Equities, as Director of Real Estate for the transformative Cedarbridge Corporate Park, a 3 million SF business destination, with Class A office, retail, and residential space. Joe’s real estate experience includes site assembly, approvals, ground up construction, development, acquisitions, financing, and asset management, leading projects from planning to success.
In 2022 Joe executed on $175,000,000 in financial transactions, and in Q3 and Q4 he closed on over 1 million SF of new acquisitions.
He serves on the advisory board of Lakeland Bank and is active in various local community institutions.
